The McNeal's Farewell Message

Happy 2007 to all our friends and customers!

We would like to introduce Kathy Ryan, the new owner of Tails Aloft.   She has had a lifelong interest in sewing and is very expert.   Kathy lives in a beautiful place carved out of an old farm with a view of Puget Sound and lots of (fenced) space for her five rescue Bouviers to run and play.   Kathy competes in Agility with Anakin Bouvier, and will be training Sneaky Miss Keiko Bouvier, her latest addition.  Before Bouviers, she has owned and loved Irish Setters, Standard Poodles, Afghans and horses.

We saw the first windsock she made (Bouvier, of course) and the workmanship is outstanding and we are sure will carry on the Tails Aloft tradition of excellence to your satisfaction.  Kathy is a neat gal.  We will be keeping touch via the computer both to answer any questions about techniques and products that we may not have covered during the transition process - and because we like her.  She is also planning on adding some new products.  Maybe there will be a picture on the website of the Giant Carp (12' long) she did for a local gift shop!! (See photo below.)

Thank you for all your friendship and business over the years.  We will miss you all, and Tails Aloft, but we are getting older, and tired, and we are going to go away and play Agility with Border Terriers MACH Teddy, and young Annie (in training), and 17 year old Harry AX OAJ, who still goes along to the shows and greets old friends.

WELCOME KATHY!

See you around the Agility trials.......

Goodbye......Bob and Pat

KATHY RYAN'S GREETING AND INTRODUCTION

First, I would like to thank Bob and Pat McNeal for entrusting me with the Tails Aloft business.

I have known Bob and Pat since I met them during their early years in Tails Aloft at several dog shows. A short time ago It came to my attention that they were planning on retiring and selling the business.  I asked that they keep me in mind when they had a firm date. I have always admired their product and felt I could make and sell windsocks, banners and flags during my off time. I like the idea of creating something that brings joy and color into people's lives.

I have been sewing since I was seven.  So creating windsocks, flags and banners comes very naturally to me. I have purchased all new sewing equipment to keep abreast of technology. The sky is the limit. I will continue to offer windsocks, flags and banners in all AKC breeds as well as any other subject requested.

I was very pleased when the McNeal's offered to sell their business to me. They have both spent time with me helping me to learn the business.  I am using Bob and Pat's patterns, so there will be no change in the quality of the product or customer service.

The designs offered are not meant to represent any particular dog within a breed. They are meant to characterize the "best" conformation pose I have access to at the time.

I look forward to creating something that will lighten your spirit and possibly give you something to memorialize a particularly momentous event in your life. Windsocks, banners and flags also serve as a great advertising tool. Please feel free to contact me regarding your special needs.

Thank you,

Kathy Ryan
